The Governor of Delta State, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, has disclosed that the present administration would leave a more prosperous and stronger Delta State for Deltans.
Governor Okowa disclosed this when he visited the Olu of Warri with the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Okowa represented by his deputy, Deacon Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, noted the role of the Olu of Warri in enhancing the dreams and vision of the state government.
According to him,”there is no gain saying the fact that as government, we have said before God Almighty and people of this state that we want to leave a more prosperous Delta State for ourselves and our tomorrow.
“This is an opportunity to thank you for all you have been doing for us as a state,” he added.
Speaking, Osinbajo congratulated the Olu of Warri on his ascension of the throne and observed that traditional rulers in the country had a moral place in the life of the people.
According to him, ” I have been able to come today to formally congratulate you and to pray that this ascension of the throne, which I know, is ordained by Almighty God be blessed.”
Responding, the Olu said “you are very much welcome here. We look forward to have a closer relationship. We thank you for the good work you have been doing with Mr. President and putting Nigeria first.”
