The Delta State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has confirmed that she has fully complied with Section 84 (12) of the Electoral Act, as it relates to statutory delegates, for the forthcoming 2023 general elections primaries.
In a press ststement signed by state publicity secratry of the PDP, Dr Ieanyi Osuoza, stated that political appointees who wish to vote at the primaries election have been advised to do the needful.
“For the avoidance of doubt, and to set the records straight, we hereby stated categorically that all political appointees with the Delta State Government, who are also statutory delegates of our party for the primary elections at all levels should resign their appointments”, he stated
It is not surprising that many political appointees are taking the part of Justice have officially officially tendered their resignations, the publicity Secretary said, adding that resignations took effect from the 31st March, 2022, in line with the 30days notice as stipulated by law.
The PDP is and will always remain responsive, law-abiding and we will continually ensure that we clarify all issues for Deltans and urged party faithfuls to always rely on our recognized, credible, and reliable channels of information dissemination, for correct and proper clarification, on all issues, the statement read.
