The video of a polling unit in Lagos is currently trending following the instruction issued to voters to return home if they won’t vote for candidates of the ruling All Progressive Congress.

According to the 28-second video which was shared on twitter by Arise TV Morning Show co-presenter, Rufai Oseni, a voice could be heard in the background instructing voters to go back home if they cannot vote for APC.

The voice said: “This is an APC polling unit. If you know you cannot vote APC, just go back home. Don’t stay. If you vote against APC, you will be dealt with.”

The incident was said to have taken place at Fehintola Giwa street, Aguda, Surulere Lagos.

One thing that could not be established however is the candidate people at the voting centre are working for.

The incident has continued to generate reactions on social media as Nigerians call on INEC to do a follow-up on the video, arrest those threatening voters and ensure they are prosecuted accordingly.
