The Oshimili South Local Government chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condoled with the family of late Premier of Midwest Region, Chief Denis Osadebay, of the death of one of his sons, Hon Chike Osadebay.

Chike, a former member of defunct Bendel State House of Assembly and staunch member of PDP, died in Asaba, recently, at the age of 70 years.

Led by the PDP Chairman in the area, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji, some party leaders and ward chairmen, the PDP expressed deep sorrow over Chike’s demise.

According to the Chairman, Ogbueshi Okonji, they were touched by the death of the late lawmaker, who was a staunch member of the party in Ward 10.

He said the party will miss his guidance and wise counselling, adding that he was lived and respected by all.

The chairman, while consoling the family, urged them to take solace in the worthy life lived by their son, brother, husband and father.

He also prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss and eternal rest to the soul of Chike.

In his remarks, a PDP leader in Ward 10, Mr. Eugene Chukwurah, said the ward was happy for the visit, which showed that the party cared for its members.

Responding in behalf of the family, the younger brother of the deceased, Mr. Chiedu Osadebay, appreciated members of PDP for the visit, adding that it was a demonstration that the party valued the membership of his late brother.

He pointed out that late Chike Osadebay was a very active member of the PDP and participated in all its activities and thanked the party for identifying with them this period of loss.

The party members were received by the deceased wife, Mrs. Ify Osadebay, children, sisters and other relatives.
