Chairman Aniocha South Local Government Area, Pastor Jude Chukwunwike has promised collaboration with the judiciary to promote quick dispensation of justice.
Chukwunwike made the pledge on Tuesday during the commissioning of the newly built Aniocha South Customary Court in Ogwashi-Uku.
According to Chukwunwike, the building, an initiative of the President, Customary Court of Appeal, Asaba, Hon. Justice P. O. Elumeze, is an opportunity for the people to get their rights protected through fast and cheap access to justice.
“This building will creat room further, to help our people to access justice faster. I am happy that the project started and ended successfully. It important to note that Justice Elumeze has shown a character that is worthy of commendation in every sphere of life.
“When we go through life, we should be conscious of one thing: what we will be remembered for. This building is something that the people will always remember her for”, Chukwunwike said.
On her part, Justice Elumeze thanked the council chairman for providing the land for the construction of the court premises.
“Thank you, Mr. Chairman, for all the support and the encouragement that played a major role in ensuring that we completed this project”, she said.
