Mr. Odiri Umukoro, a community leader in Oil Mining Lease OML30, Delta State, has assured NNPC Exploration and Production Limited NEPL, Shoreline Natural Resources Limited and Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited HEOSL, that Comrade Zino Onaemor was the best person to handle the Infield Surveillance contract in Isoko axis.
He also urged management of NNPC Exploration and Production Limited NEPL, Shoreline Natural Resources Limited and Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited HEOSL, to disregard the protest over the pipeline surveillance job.
It will be recalled that some Isoko youths staged a protest over the pipeline surveillance contract last Saturday at Oleh in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.
But, Umukoro on Wednesday, while reacting to the protest over the pipeline surveillance contract already won by Zino Onaemor’s company via a transparent “ Tender Process” for Isoko axis, noted that Zino is capable to handle the project.
“ Let me call on NNPC Exploration and Production Limited NNPC E&P Limited and Shoreline Natural Resources Limited SNRL being the Joint Venture Partners of the OML30 Assets, not to succumb to the ill-advised protest sponsored by someone set out to blackmail the JV Partners and Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited just to achieve mischievous aim”
“ At the end of every “ Tender Process “ only bidders who won would be issued award letter. In this case, a Nigerian, and Isoko son in the person of Comrade Zino Onaemor won the contract and he should be allowed to do his job. However, no amount of sponsored protest will make HEOSL to release award letter to a company that lost in the tender/biding process”
He concluded that contracts are awarded based on track records, adding that Comrade Zino Onaemor has the required experience and laudable track records in pipeline surveillance.
