OKPANAM/Nigeria: A former Assistant Secretary-General of Okpanam Youth, Comr. Tony Ugo Okocha who is currently groning in sever pains as a result of various degree of injuries he sustained from gunshot he received from a reckless officer of the Nigeria Police Force, Okpanam Division in 2011 has appealed to Delta State Government and well-meaning individuals to come to his aid.

Comr. Okocha made the appeal in his sick bed in Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State while narrating his ordeals.

He said that he was shot by a police officer (name withheld) on April 2, 2022 when he went to the station in a very peaceful manner to ascertain the cause of issues between some Okpanam youths and the police

Comr. Okocha, who disclosed that ever since then , he was managing to walk even with pains until Thursday, June 2, 2022 when he was finally knocked down to the extent that he could no longer stand let alone walk .

While thanking those that showed genuine concern and support when he was admitted at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Asaba, Comr. Okocha said that he needed financial support from good spirited individuals to enable him undergo medical treatment.

He said that instead of the bone in his foot to heal and go straight it wrongly went to his flesh thereby putting his life in danger , adding that his GSM number was 0803 382 0727 and appealed to kind hearted Nigerians to come to his aid by supporting him financially for his treatment.

Comr. Okocha recalled that he had continued to be a patriotic Okpanam indigene, saying that he went to the station to show solidarity with the youths and stated that he should not be abandoned now that he needed the support of every individual of Okpanam origin.
