ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm felicitations to the Ovie of Agbon Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Ogurime-rime Ukori I, Michael Omeru, CON, as the revered monarch marks his 75th birthday anniversary.
In a goodwill message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, on Sunday in Asaba, the governor described the Agbon monarch as “a shining example of royalty anchored on wisdom, humility, and service to humanity.”
Oborevwori commended the Ovie for his unwavering commitment to peace, unity, and progress in Agbon Kingdom and Delta State, noting that he had remained “a custodian of culture, a bridge-builder, and a trusted partner in development.”
“Your Majesty, your reign has been a blessing not only to the people of Agbon Kingdom but also to the Urhobo nation and Delta State at large,” the governor stated.
He acknowledged that under Ukori I’s leadership, Agbon Kingdom had witnessed remarkable transformation in infrastructure, security, and social harmony. He also praised the monarch’s contributions to youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and value reorientation.
“You remain a source of pride to the Urhobo people and to the entire traditional institution in Nigeria. Your voice on matters of statecraft and governance has always been measured, wise, and invaluable,” Oborevwori added.
On behalf of his family, government, and the people of Delta State, the governor prayed for God’s continued grace upon the monarch. “As you celebrate your 75th birthday, I pray the Almighty God grants you more years of good health, strength, and wisdom to continue to guide your people with integrity and to contribute even more meaningfully to the advancement of Delta State and Nigeria,” he said.
