The newly sworn in governor of Delta State, HE, RT Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has pleged to give special attention to Warri, the commercial nerve centre of Delta State.
The pleged is contained in his inaugural speech held at stephen Keshi stadium, ASABA, the State capital.
He observed, however, that the process has already commenced with the establishment of Warri, Uvwie, and Environs Development Agency (WUEDA), this in addition to the ongoing work on the Storm Water Project government will commence efforts at giving Warri and its environs a total facelift.
Similarly, the ongoing rehabilitation work on the Warri Township Stadium will be expedited, he read in his speech.
According to him the Civil Service will also be accorded top priority to boost its efficiency and enhance its service delivery.
Notwithstanding the open check to the prioritize the civil service, merit will be the yardstick for elevation into top management positions to encourage the entry into and retention of the best brains in the public service.
” Furthermore, this administration will render all the necessary support to the judiciary to enable it carry out its functions without let or hindrance,” as the narrates list of his priorities.
