Aniocha South chapter of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) has commended the council’s chairman, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, for making the interest of the council staff a top priority.

NULGE made the commendation on Monday during a courtesy visit to Ogwashi-Uku, the headquarters of Aniocha South Local Government Area.

According to the group led by Comrade Mike Nwadei, the heart of any good government beats for the societal workforce. They noted that since the inception of the Chukwunwike-led administration, staff interests have been well taken care of with resultant improvement in the working environment at the secretariat.

“We are here today, Mr. Chairman, to appreciate you for the quality of leadership that you brought to this local government. The payment of staff claims is a big encouragement to everyone of us. Thank you.”

In his response, Chukwunwike said that the council staff remind him of his days of little beginning.

“I worked here years ago and I understand the staff, I know their challenges as well as their opportunities. I think that God positioned me here for a time like this to put smiles on the faces of the people”, Chukwunwike said.
