Positive reactions have continued to trail the recruitment of five thousand teachers for both Primary and Secondary Schools across Anambra State and subsequent issuance of appointment letters to them by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

Speaking to our correspondent at the International Conference Center in Awka venue of the exercise, Chief Boniface Egbutu maintained that such a move by Governor Soludo will go a long way in improving quality teaching and learning in Anambra State.

He said that the promise by the Governor to pay the newly employed teachers their December salary will boost their morale adding that the Governor’s commitment to awarding contract for either construction or re-construction of two hundred and thirty kilometers of roads across Anambra State will no doubt enhance both human and vehicular movements and boost business transactions.

Chief Egbutu who is a community leader at Nise in Awka South Local Government Area used the opportunity to call on Ndi Anambra to continue with their support and prayer to the Governor to enable him deliver on his mandate

Also contributing, Chief Osita Ezechukwu who extolled Governor Chukwuma Soludo for having different approach to governance said that the governor’s declaration of State of emergency on roads and the award of contract for the revamping of some decapitated General Hospitals in Anambra State shows that Governor Soludo is prepared and committed to improving the living standards of Ndi Anambra.

Chief Ezechukwu called on affluent individuals to remember the less privileged individual this Christmas in order to give them a sense of belonging.

He urged Christians to use this period of Advent to pray for peaceful co-existence and smooth conduct of next year’s general elections.
