The Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Baffa Bichi, has explained while the structure was demolished

According to report on DAILY POST, he said the monument which was put in place to commemorate Kano’s Golden Jubilee, was pulled down on Wednesday as it carried the Christian Sign. He said if a drone camera is deployed, one will easily get the cross symbol

Baffa, who happens to be a former Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Chairman at Bayero University, Kano, and former Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFund, said it was totally wrong for the state which has almost 100 per cent of the indigenes as Muslims, to have such a building. He said it is against the Islamic Values
