Ogwashi-Uku, the headquarters of Aniocha South Local Government Area was on Wednesday filled with joy as Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike began the distribution of end-of-year largess to council staff.
The civil servants were delighted to get one chicken per person.
The council boss who spoke on the background of the occasion thanked God Almighty for the initiative, adding that nothing is too much for the people.
“First and foremost, I want to thank God Almighty for this initiative. To the glory of God, the ultimate aim of the establishment is what you are seeing today.
“Since we resumed office in March 2021, I have continued to forster cordial relationship with the civil servants. The Aniocha South Poultry farm was conceived for a purpose not an imaginary farm but a fruitful venture. It is a project that has come to stay as far as going back to our people is concerned because our people deserve the best”, Chukwunwike said.
Some of the staff spoke glowingly about the chairman’s gesture. For Head of Personnel Management (HPM), Mr. Joseph Akpodiete, the gesture is unprecedented in the history of council.

“Since we resumed office in March 2021, I had maintained quality relationship with the civil servants. The Aniocha South poultry farm is not an imaginary farm. It is a project that has come to stay as far as going back to our people is concerned because our people deserve the best”, Chukwunwike said.

The chairman is a man that has a heart for the people.”
The HoD Agriculture, Mr. Mathias Nwaebichi, said that what the council’s poultry farm has done through the chairman is “laudable and will go down well in the annals of history”.
Similarly, Comrade Vivian Allana said that the “council boss is a real pastor whose Christianity is practical and shows”.hrough out my 22 years experience in service, this has never happened. The chairman is a man that has a heart for the people.”
