Members of Iwere sports centrr(IWC) have visited the Olara-Aja of Koko, Pa Richmond Atsenuwa to discuss issues affecting the commencement of Koko Marathon coming up next month.
The visit which was pivotal to the succesd of the forthcoming event offered the organisation the opportunity to interact with the community head and gain his support and blessings of the Msrathon.
Addressing the Olara-Aja, the team leader, Mr Toritseju Igbiaye, said that IWC being voice of grassroots development in Delta State, decided to host the Marathon in Koko because of the enabling environment for such an e event.
He thanked the Koko community head for the warm reception accorded them and solicited more support from the Olara-Aja and the people of Koko.
The leader to a tour of the community stadium to ascertain it’s status, where the spokesperson bemoan the state of the stadium, saying that the neglect of the stadium had crippled sports activities in Koko.
