Many Nigerians have raised concerns about Igbo Presidency as the 2023 Presidential Election approaches.

Muhammadu Buhari is the current President of Nigeria and he is from the Northern axis of the country.

However, many Nigerians have raised questions on which region Nigeria’s next President will come from.

Nevertheless, Former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo has declared support for an Igbo Presidency in 2023.

Obasanjo, while receiving a 2023 Presidential aspirant, Mao Ohuabunwa on Thursday in Abeokuta said it was time for reconciliation in Nigeria by supporting a president from the Southeast region to emerge in 2023.

The former president stated that south-easterners can bring a lot to the table if elected.

It remains to be seen on which region will produce the next President of Nigeria.

Nigeria needs a quality individual with leadership qualities to takeover from President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023 irrespective of the region.

Obasanjo’s statement should be considered but no region should be given preference during the 2023 Presidential Election because we are “One Nigeria”.
