Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, has issued a stern warning to those attempting to seize control of his political influence, emphasizing his readiness to defend his position against unjust attacks.
Wike made these remarks during a meeting with fellow governors from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at his office on Wednesday.
The visit by these governors was in response to the ongoing political conflict between Rivers State Governor, Simi Fubara, and Wike, who formerly served as the state’s governor.
Speaking to reporters in Abuja, Wike asserted that he would not permit anyone to seize his political stronghold and stressed that he could not be easily intimidated by anyone.
In his words; “Forget about the Obedience and the Atikus, who have lost, who felt I did not support them, and those who revoke their C of O.”
“‘Wike did this, Wike did that’ because I did not support their presidential candidates. All those things I am not perturbed, I will only do what is right.”
“I am not a person you can go to social media and say all kinds of things and you go free. So be careful I can fight back.”
