President General of Supreme Council of Islamic affairs and Sultan of Sokoto whose name is Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar has urged the Nigerian Federal government to find a long lasting solution that will end the ASUU strike in Nigeria,

He also urged traders to stop the habit of increasing of food prices as he added that Federal government should stop inflation in the country.

All these was contained in a Eid-il-Fitr message which was released on Friday. He also told security agencies in the country to improve the safety of Nigeria. 

The Sultan also asked Muslims to exercise their rights and contest elective positions in the country as he equally urged them to exercise franchise by voting.

He also appealed to Nigerian politicians not to see politics as a do or die affair but rather, they should see politics as a service to the nation.
