Delta state government has outlawed the collection of all forms of levy, fees from all construction sites in the state.

This information is contained in a government statement in Asaba, the state capital following a law passed go that effect by the Delta state House of Assembly prohibiting all forms of levies, 10 % from the sales of land in form of Development fee (DEVE) and forcefully entering any construction site without lawful authorization from the site owner within Delta state.

The law which is cited as the ” PUBLIC AND PRIVATE PROPERTY PROTECTION LAW 2018″ section 13(1) & (2) prevents property Developers from being exploited and prescribed 2 years imprisonment or 1 million naira or both for violators

In additionsection 13(1) & (2); Section 11(1)(a-c) & (2)(a)&(b) forbids any body from selling a landed property to more than one person especially when such person has no legitimate title, he or she risks 5 years imprisonment upon conviction.
