Delta State Government, has announced the restriction of vehicular and human movements throughout the state on Saturday September 27, Fresh Angle International can report.

According to a government special announcement released Thursday September 25, by the Delta State Ministry of Information, the restriction of movement will run between 7am and 10am.

The special announcement, which was credited to the Director of Public Communication /Functioning Permanent Secretary in the State Ministry of Information, Harold Ojji, noted that the three-hour restriction of movement, is to ensure that residents in the state participate fully in the monthly environmental sanitation exercise.

The statement, averred: “In view of this, residents are advised to cut overgrown weeds, desilt their drainages and keep their environment clean to prevent the spread of diseases, as it is the responsibility of every resident, to clean 20 metres radius of their premises.

“The Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Ejiro Jamani, Staff of the Ministry and other relevant authorities will monitor the exercise across the State.

“It is emphasized that those found not taking part in the exercise will be brought before Mobile Magistrate Courts for prosecution.”
