Aniocha South Council secretariat, on Monday took delivery of three cars for top officials of the council officials and and a security unit in Ubulu-Uku.
Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike during the unveiling at the Council premises, Ogwashi-Uku, headquarters of Aniocha local government area, explained that they are to aid the the Secretary to the Local Government, the Treasurer and the Delta State Vigilante, Ubulu-Uku unit, for effective discharge of their official duties to bring government closer the people.
While the Secretary and Treasurer got one Toyota Corolla each, Ubulu-Uku Vigilante group received one Toyota Sienna car.
Hon. Chukwunwike explained that the Sienna is his personal donation to the Ubulu-Uku Vigilante unit to further encourage its unflinching resilience in crime fighting.
“I am presenting this car to the Vigilante , not because I am from this community but because you have shown exemplary conduct and commitment to the security of Ubulu-uku community and its neighbours.
“This is a reward for hard work and I am encouraging you to do more in ensuring that the lives and property of our people are preserved”, Chukwunwike said. Chief James Adoh, commander, Ubulu-uku Vigilance unit was handed the key of the Sienna .

Speaking shortly after receiving his official car, the Secretary to the Local Government, Prince Okonjo Emordi expressed appreciation to the chukwunwike led administration for the gesture and pledged loyalty the Chairman and the coucil, to be diligent in the the dicharge of his duties for general good of the people of Aniocha South Local Government Area.
Recall that the chukwunwike-led administration had earlier, in October 2021, presented three sets of Toyota corolla as official cars to Vice Chairman, Hon. Amaka Adigwe, Leader of the Sixth Legislative Assembly, Hon. Leonard Nzemeke and the Head of Personnel Management, Mr Joseph Akpodiete.
