The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday zoned its Chairmanship position to the North Central region.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the zoning formula released today in Abuja has effectively ruled out aspirants from other geo-political zones.
APC aspirants of North-Central extraction jostling for the exalted seat of the national chairmanship are leaving no stone unturned to emerge victorious.
Now, persons like former governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Tanko Al Makura; Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, George Akume; former member, House of Representatives and Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Bawa Bwari from Niger State, are qualified to run.
The development comes weeks before the APC national convention scheduled to hold on March 26.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari is reported to have approved the proposed zoning formula for the national offices of the party.
