A former member of the All Progressive Congress (APC), in Ward 6 (Aragba) of Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr. Collins Obeghe, has described the party as hell fire.
Speaking on Friday, November 25th, 2022 in Ward 6 (Aragba) when the ranks of the members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) were broken in the area when large members of the party decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Collins Obeghe said that they thought that APC was a good party, until they joined it and realized that it was not the party desired by Nigerians.

Obeghe who spoke on behalf of the large numbers of the decampees, said that they had been living in hell fire in the party and never again would they have something to do with the party.
He said that; “PDP is our family before we abandoned the party and joined APC. We are tired of the APC, the party is hell fire and that is why we have decided to come back to our great party, the PDP, and work together as one big family. We regretted the period of time we spent in the hell fire known as the APC. We were actually living in hell fire in APC, but never again as we are fully back to our wonderful party”.
The Chairman of Ward 6 (Aragba), Mr. Goodluck said that; ” Today, I am very glad to inform all of you that several members of the All Progressive Congress in this area have decided to dump the APC and return back to their party, the PDP. Am so happy with their decision and I hereby bring them forward back to the PDP”.


The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Okpe Local Government Area of the State, Chief Efe Uko, while receiving the APC decampees said that; “Now that we have received these large numbers of APC decampees today, I want the Ward Chairman to go now and give them the party cards as full members of the PDP. We are going to treat them fairly and equally because there are no new and old members in our party. All of you are welcome back to the PDP where we are all stakeholders”.
Also, several members of the All Progressive Congress (APC), during the Ward-to-Ward campaigns to Ward 3 (the Ward of the Delta State PDP Governorship Candidate, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori) burnt their brooms as they dumped the party for the Peoples Democratic Party.
The Chairman of Ward 3, Collins Ubini, who handed the APC decampees in the area to the Chairman of Okpe PDP, Chief Efe Uko, said that the decampees were tired of the APC.
Chief Efe Uko, while welcoming the decampees from the Ward of the Delta State PDP Governorship Candidate, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, said that; ” They have come to join the winning team and I wish to welcome all of you to the party on behalf of the Delta State PDP Chairman. At this moment, it is my pleasure to hand over all of you to the Chairman of Ward 3 to register you people”.
The leader of the decampees, Mr. Solomon Obragiwa, APC Assistant Secretary, Ward 3, said that; “We are very happy to join the PDP. We were in the dark before. Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori represents light and we want to follow him and the Peoples Democratic Party.
An elated Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and State PDP Governorship Candidate for the 2023 general elections, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori told the people in his Ward 3 that; “Our Ward is the biggest Ward in Okpe and has always delivered. We do not campaign in Ward 3 because it is a rescue Ward in Okpe. We don’t have a choice in Ward 3, we must vote for Atiku – Okowa.

Speaking further at the colourful and carnival-like event in his Ward, the Gubernatorial Candidate said; “Our Governor has been very fair to the people of Okpe Kingdom. Let us deliver all the Candidates of the PDP in the 2023 general elections. We have not produced a Governor before, this is going to be the first time that we are going to produce a Governor. His Excellency, Chief James Onanefe Ibori tried very well for supporting us, also we are grateful to former Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan for campaigning for PDP, God bless him. God bless all our leaders”
The Chairmen of Wards 6, 5, 2, 1, and 3, visited on Friday, November 25th, 2022 said that they will work for the victory of all PDP candidates in the 2023 general elections.
The Delta State PDP Chairman, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso enjoined Deltans to vote out the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 general elections, adding that the party has brought tears, sorrow, and blood to Nigerians and urged the people to vote for PDP Candidates all-the-way.
The PDP Delta Central Senatorial Candidate, Chief Ighoyota Amori, noted that Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie and Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituencies had both represented Urhobo at different times in the Senate, “so I urge all of you to vote for me for Senate, come 2023 and other candidates of the PDP”
Rt. Hon. Evelyn Omavowan Oboro Esq, PDP House of Representatives Candidate, Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie Federal Constituency, said Nigeria was a better Country when PDP was in power and solicited for herself and all candidates of the PDP in the 2023 general elections.
Former Works Commissioner in the State, Chief James Augoye, PDP House of Assembly Candidate for Okpe State Constituency, called on the people to vote massively for all the Candidates of the PDP next year.
Prominent leaders and stakeholders in the visited Wards, including Hon. Efe Afe, member representing Okpe/Sapele /Uvwie Federal Constituency, Barrister Isaac Itebu, Prince Gordons Ejinyere, Okakuro J. I. Asini (JP) and host of others, while predicting victory for all PDP candidates in the 2023 general elections called on the electorate to make good use of their PVCs next year.
