The 2022 Appropriation Bill of N4,669,590,880.60 presented to the Sixth Assembly of Aniocha South Legislative Arm by the Chairman, Hon. Pastor, Jude Chukwunwike has been approved and passed into law.
The bill which was presented on March 15, 2022 was given accelerated consideration as part of the resolution reached during the Tuesday plenary by the 20 member legislative House.
Hon. Chukwunwike during his presentation penultimate Tuesday, described the Bill as a legal instrument for the actualisation of his administration’s developmental plans, commended the unalloyed support of the members of the Legislative House towards the development of Aniocha South.
He said, “the Bill encapsulates the aspirations of our people for the consideration by this hallow Chamber”.
The summary of the proposed budget for year 2022 consists of recurrent expenditure of N2,841,090,880.60 and capital expenditure of N1,828,500.00.
The lawmakers on their part explained that the budget proposal is a direct fulfilment of the Amended section 55 (5) of Delta State Local Government Law 2017 and pledged to give it accelerated passage.
