Deputy Governor, Anambra State, Dr Ibezim said that the government of Professor Chukwuma Soludo is making tireless efforts towards restoring the glory of the State especially in the security sector, calling for all hands to be on deck in that regard.
The Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, gave the assurance at his home church, St. Lawrence Anglican Church Mbaukwu, Awka South Local Government Area, during a special service to mark the twenty-fifth ordination anniversary and sent-fourth of Venerable Chukwudi Ezeobi, the outgoing Vicar of the Parish.
Dr. Ibezim while commending the efforts of Venerable Ezeobi in the vineyard of God since his ordination, called on religious leaders to also join hands with government in enthroning the desired society.
I n his sermon, the Archbishop, Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger and Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim, while identifying suffering as an essential ingredient for spiritual and all-round growth and development of every Christian, encouraged Christians to endure challenges of life as it will make them great, even as he assured that God will not fail them.
While listing the numerous achievements of the outgoing Vicar, Most Reverend Ibezim advised Ministers of God to be strategic and visionary, in order to overcome ministry challenges.
The celebrant, Venerable Ezeobi, thanked God for showing him mercy since he started labouring in His vineyard, promising to continue to be faithful in his service to God and humanity, even as he encouraged members of St. Lawrence to maximally support his successor to move the work of God forward.
Some of the guests, including Sir. Nworah Etele, described Venerable Ezeobi as a committed servant of God, who has positively impacted many lives.
