The Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Area, Hon Pastor Jude Chukwunwike counselled everyone seeking leadership position to wait for God’s appointed time.

Hon Chukwunwike gave the advice at the Council secrtariat, Ogwashi-uku, headquarters of Anioch South LGA, when members of the M.O.R.E. for Delta Youth Project Group paid him a visit in continuation of their awareness campaign of the group’s project.

He urged them never to allow their personal and selfish ambition to overide group interest, adding that political power cannot be achieved by force when the group you belonged has not considered it expedient, as power belongs to the people, and by the Grace of God.

Politics is not so much about one’s academic qualifications it also considers your inate abilities God has deposited in you which the people in turn want to tap for over all group interest, so it’s is all encompassing, he counselled the youth organisation.

He urged them to support the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori as the popular choice for the 2023 election because he is also eminently qualified and selected by the peopled

Citing the biblical story of Moses and Aaron, Chukwunwike pointed out that God has a way of chosing people who the society scorned and in turn use them to accomplish great things.

“God knew that Aaron was an orator but he chose Moses the stammerer first, to speak for him before Pharaoh. There was something in Moses that was bigger than what man calls qualification and that was what God needed”.

Continuing he said: “A lot of people make the mistake of thinking that because they have been abroad, therefore, they should be considered first before others, but it is lack of understanding.

“God decides who occupies a particular position at any particular point in time, If you fail to get it today, wait for your appointed time.

” Anybody who will sustain power must be ready to go through the process of mentoring,
when the right time comes, you just get it cheaply. That’s something about God”, Chukwunwike added.

Earlier the group led by Ambassador Ugagaoghene Yole Enarise told Chukwunwike that their visit was to inform him about their activities within the local government area.

“When you fight or show off desperation for power, you won’t get it but when you are relaxed, it comes to you cheaply at an appointed time. This is because God at every time decides who will occupy a particular position.

“Politics is not all about one’s qualification; it is all encompassing but one thing is sure, if you are in politics, your talent tends to come out. You need your talent to express itself fully before you begin seeking for position.”

With these words, the Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Area, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, on Wednesday welcomed members of the M.O.R.E. for Delta Youth Project Group to the council secretariat, Ogwashi-uku.

According to Chukwunwike, people who are said they are more qualified than Sheriff are myopic about leadership.

He noted that having a doctorate degree does not mean that one is going to be a better leader than an individual who has first degree. He added that those who can express themselves more eloquently are not usually more intelligent.

“A man that has been able to bring Delta State House of Assembly together for this long should be appreciated”, the council boss said.

“Per time, God decides who occupies a particular position. If you are being denied today, it is not the end of the world.

“At a time Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori was denied House of Assembly ticket but all that laid the foundation for where he is today. Anybody who will sustain power must be ready to go through the process of mentoring, and denials.
